Ten Haiku

One Round green buds of March Unfurled Camilla flowers April wasn't fooling

Two Sunset cawing crows Plentiful food’s been spotted Today's hunger past

Three Honking geese above Unseen in the gray-pink mist Tighten up their V

Four Sitting in the sun The neighbor does not hurry To plant her pea starts

Five Pacific Daylight I know its 7

Six In isolation The greatest gift of all Learn to love yourself

Seven The plural of Haiku Is Haiku one or many Like Koi in the pond

Eight Yellow daffodil Tulips in many colors Oh to be a bee

Nine Walk the quiet trail Where iron steam locomotives Once broke the silence

Ten Too many weeds grow Where old apple trees once stood Rake the new bare soil
