Owl Medicine
Not with thunder not with a sermon, not with a finger pointed. Owl comes silently. Wings wide enough to hold the dark. Eyes bright enough to find the truth. Owl whispers to you: Shhhh. Be still. Not every shadow is a danger. Not every shadow is a stranger. There are things dressed up like certainty that are but a wisp of fear wearing a good coat. There are voices that sound like truth until you listen with the whole of your true self. So listen past the loud and angry Listen past the rumors. Listen past the self-serving story you have started to believe. Owl does not ask, “Who has deceived you?” Owl asks, “What have you refused to see?” What truth has been knocking at the window while you slumber? What warning is whispering beneath all the noise? Owl is not here to make you suspicious. Owl is here to make you wise. To teach you that discernment is not fear, that intuition is not weakness, that the bravest thing might be waiting. Let the silence tell you what the shouting never could, what the angry never would. Stand still in the dark long enough for your eyes to adjust to the shadows' dusk. Truth has not disappeared. It is waiting quiet as noiseless feathers, sharp as moonlight; Waiting for you to finally see it and grasp it.
