After winter’s gloom Arid Earth appreciates April, always wet

Breezes bend brown grass Clouds drift above fields of bronze Summer barely breathes

Cabbage and carrots Cruciferous concoction Chicken broth? Canned?

Daily showers drip Dark earth drinks every bright drop Robins dance at dawn

Early buds emerge Eager rains on emerald sprouts Easing Spring awake

Fog folds the forest Fresh coffee, favorite mug First light warms my face

Golden heat glistens Gardens growing green goodness Go away, gophers

Hail hits the roof hard Heavy clouds hide happiness Hope for sunshine gone

Icy stars glimmer Illuminating new snow Inhale sharp cold air

June rains scent roses Just as bees seek open blooms Jasmine owns the night

Kite climbs the spring wind Kissing the blue sky above Kids squint to find it

Late snow whitens lawns Daffodils and tulips laugh At little snowmen

Morning mist rises Meadows shine with jeweled dew Mockingbirds tune up

November wind knows No one escapes what's coming Night time falls too soon

Bright October moon Over orange-red maples Wakes owls from slumber

Puddles mirror clouds Petals drip the morning light Pansies pray for peace

Quiet snowflakes fall Quilting the lawn frosty white Quickly seasons change

Red maples let go Release whirligig copters Ready leaf cover

Sunlight warms new shoots Splashes of rain wet tulips Spring greets courtesans

Thunder shook windows Turmoil darkened the morning The clean air smells sweet

Unseen roots quench thirst Umbrellas finally open Under thick rain clouds

Morning dawns verdant Velvet rain vanquished Winter Violets, wake up!

White frost veils the lawn Wrens gather high on bare limbs Waiting for dawn's warmth

Xeric winds blow hard Xanthic leaves divorce xylem Cover the xystus

Yowling winds blow hard Hickory sheds yellow leaves Cover our yard-path

Zesty zephyrs zig Zinnia, Zabelia, and Zygocacti
