The Whirling Dance of Maples

In our suburban yard two maples stand, Their leafy crowns in springtime splendor thrive, With emerald arms that stretch across our land, They bask in sunlit joy; lush, alive. When autumn whispers secrets dark and cold, Those greens transform to hues of rich delight; Vibrant orange flames in red and gold Flag the sky. From reaching limbs upright. Whirlagigs swirl October's chilly breeze, Twirl laughing from their boughs with playful grace, Each spins a memory of ancestral trees, Giving winter's heart a warm embrace. Thus nature paints a scene of change, bright In maple's glow, honoring the summer light.
