Skeleton Woman
In silence, let the ticking clocks dissolve, No mirrors recast yesterday’s ague; Close shutters tight, invite dawn's filtered hue, Embrace new worlds where whispered dreams evolve. With every breath, a seed of hope resolves To break the ground where shadows overgrew. Beneath the weight of promises — pastdue — A tender heart dances and revolves In fragrant winds. The promise of the day, Each moment, a chance to start afresh. With patient hands, she shapes new clay, Pasting 'round her bones protective flesh. From this cocoon hatch butterflies — from strife — As Skeleton Woman births her truest life
